For BTech · BCA · MCA students & colleges

Industry project training that actually counts on a resume.

Six-month structured project-based training programs for college students, mentored by experienced working engineers across the DevOps, Cybersecurity, and Full Stack streams. Students can apply individually; colleges can set up a cohort tie-up for their department.

Two ways in

Apply as a student, or set up a college partnership.

The same internship structure, two routes, depending on whether you're a student looking for an industry placement, or a department setting up structured industry exposure for a cohort.

For students

You're in BTech, BCA, or MCA.

You want an industry project-based training with a named partner on your resume, not a 30-day "industry training" certificate from a name no recruiter recognises. You can apply individually for any of the three programs.

  • Apply directly to the program that matches your direction
  • Six months, on-site at the Techcake Kannur campus
  • Mentor-reviewed deliverables, not shadow work
  • Industry training completion certificate on completion
  • Career support, resume, mock interviews, referrals

For colleges

You run a department or placement cell.

You want structured project-based training programs for your students that go beyond a six-week observership. Techcake can set up a college-level tie-up that places a cohort into one of the three project-training streams.

  • Cohort-level placements across one or more project-training streams
  • Letter of intent and MoU support available
  • Faculty co-ordination point at Techcake
  • Final-year project alignment where applicable
  • Periodic progress reports to the department

Why this matters for college students

The program that doesn't get filtered out.

Most college internships look identical on a recruiter's spreadsheet. The two things that change that: a named partner, and documented work the recruiter can verify. This program is built around both.

01

Named partner letter, not 'industry training certificate'

The training completion certificate is issued by Techcake and documents the specific project work you delivered, with mentor sign-off. Recruiters can ask the mentor team to confirm.

02

Real deliverables in your portfolio

You leave with documented work, code repositories, configuration artefacts, project write-ups. That's what gets shared in an interview.

03

Career pipeline at the end

Resume rebuild, mock interviews, and direct referrals through the partner network. The training doesn't end at "thanks for coming".

Frequently asked

Questions from students and colleges.

Can I apply if I'm in my final semester / final year?
Yes. Final-year and recent graduates of BTech, BCA, and MCA programs are a primary audience for these internships. The internship spans six months, so plan the start date around your semester schedule.
Does this count as my college's mandatory internship requirement?
In most cases yes, but the formal acceptance depends on your college's internship policy. We provide documentation that satisfies most departments. Talk to your placement cell, and ask us for a sample MoU or letter of intent if needed.
My college wants a tie-up, how does that work?
A college tie-up is a structured MoU between Techcake and your institution that places a cohort of students into one or more project-training streams. We can scope cohort size, internship mix, timeline, and progress-reporting cadence to fit your department's needs.
Do I need prior experience?
These are pure internships, they assume you arrive with the fundamentals for the stream you're applying to. Final-year students who've kept up with their courses usually have the baseline. If you're not sure, the counsellor call is the place to check fit honestly.
Is the program paid?
This is a learning internship, not a paid employment role. The objective is industry exposure, a portfolio, and the partner training completion certificate that helps you land a paid role afterwards.
Where is the program physically located?
On Techcake premises at the Kannur campus, 3rd Floor, SM Tower, Taliparamba. The on-site model is what makes the mentor feedback loop work.
What about hostels / accommodation for outstation students?
Techcake does not directly run hostels, but we can share information on accommodation options near the campus. Ask the counsellor when you call.
Ready to take the next step

For students and colleges.

Students apply directly. Colleges set up a tie-up. Either way, the first step is a short conversation.
