Thrissur sits between our Kannur campus and the Kochi job market: about 180 km north to Taliparamba, 3 to 4 hours by train, and a much shorter run south to Infopark Kakkanad. Techcake has no centre in Thrissur. Students here take the 4 month DevOps Engineer course online live or hybrid, and the 10 month Career Program's six month project phase on campus in Kannur. This page also gives a frank account of how few DevOps roles are advertised inside Thrissur itself, and why that need not stop you.
Hybrid is workable from Thrissur in a way it is not from Trivandrum. A morning train from Thrissur reaches Kannur in three to four hours, so a campus day is a long day rather than an overnight trip. Hybrid students from Thrissur, Chalakudy or Guruvayur usually come up for a handful of planned weeks, typically the container labs, the Kubernetes block and the last review, and attend everything else online live.
If travel is not convenient, online live on its own covers the full course. Batches are on weekday evenings and on weekends, so you can hold a job at Koratty or a college seat in the city and still attend every session with the trainer.
For the Career Program, the first four months are the course in whichever mode you pick. The second phase, six months of mentored production projects, is on campus only. From Thrissur, students either take a room near Taliparamba for the six months or split the weeks between campus and remote work, coming up for the project reviews. The campus gives you what a screen cannot: the mentors from our industry partner (an AWS consulting company) looking at your actual terminal, the lab you can stay in past class time, and a batch of people working the same problems as you. For the course alone, online live is enough. For the six projects, presence is what makes them worth doing.
We searched the public job boards for DevOps roles inside Thrissur district in September 2026 and found very few. Infopark Thrissur at Koratty, near Chalakudy, has an active job board on the Infopark website, but the postings listed there are mostly for developers, data engineers, digital marketing and design roles at companies such as GALTech Technologies, Aventus Informatics and Webandcrafts, with Feathersoft offering an apprenticeship in managed services for diploma and BTech students. Indeed's DevOps search for Thrissur returned only a handful of results, and those were security testing and technical lead roles rather than DevOps titles.
So we will not name Thrissur employers as DevOps hirers, because we could not verify any. What Thrissur has instead is proximity. Infopark Kochi, where most Kerala DevOps roles are posted, is within commuting range of Thrissur district, and candidates from Thrissur can interview for Kakkanad roles without relocating first. The sector picture in Thrissur itself is small product companies, digital agencies and a growing set of businesses running their own cloud infrastructure, where a DevOps skill set gets you hired under a system administrator or cloud engineer title.

The DevOps Engineer course covers four modules in about 16 weeks: Linux and Networking Foundations; Containers with Docker; CI/CD and Automation using Git, Jenkins and GitHub Actions; and AWS Cloud with Infrastructure as Code through Terraform. Beginners are welcome.
The DevOps Engineer Career Program follows the course with six months of production projects at the Kannur campus: hardened Linux infrastructure, a containerised application, a CI/CD pipeline, a migration to AWS, a Kubernetes deployment on EKS, and Terraform with Prometheus and Grafana. It ends with a six-project portfolio, a rewritten resume and LinkedIn profile, recorded mock interviews and mentor referrals.

You are a graduate from one of the engineering colleges around Thrissur who wants to compete for Infopark Kochi roles without moving to Kochi first. You are a web developer at a Koratty or city agency who has been handling servers on the side and wants to make that the job. You are an IT person at a family business or a hospital who now manages cloud accounts and wants to do it properly. You are between jobs after a spell abroad and want a portfolio you can show within a year.
It fits less well if you cannot attend a live class at a fixed time, since the sessions are live and not a video library.
