Techcake runs DevOps training for students anywhere in Kerala from one campus in Taliparamba, Kannur. You can join the 4 month DevOps Engineer course online live, in hybrid mode or in the classroom, and the 10 month Career Program adds six months of on-campus project work after that. We do not have branches in other cities; this page explains honestly what each mode gives you and which one fits where you live.
Online live means you attend the same class as the classroom batch, at the same time, over a video call, with the same trainer and the same lab environment. It is not recorded videos. You are expected to have your camera on, ask questions and finish the labs in the session. Recordings are shared afterwards for revision, not as a substitute for attending.
Hybrid means you attend most sessions online and come to the Kannur campus for specific weeks: usually the Docker and Kubernetes labs and the final project reviews, where being in the same room with the trainer saves hours of debugging over a screen. Hybrid students plan around three or four campus visits across the course.
Offline, or classroom, means you attend every session at the campus on the 3rd floor of SM Tower, Taliparamba. It is the mode with the most trainer time, and it is what students from Kannur and nearby districts usually choose.
Two things are the same in every mode: the syllabus and the trainer. One thing is not: Phase 2 of the Career Program, the six months of mentored projects, runs only on campus. If you are joining from Kochi or Trivandrum and want the full programme, you need to plan for six months in Kannur.
The DevOps Engineer course runs about 16 weeks in four modules: Linux and Networking Foundations; Containers with Docker; CI/CD and Automation with Git, Jenkins and GitHub Actions; and AWS Cloud and Infrastructure as Code covering EC2, VPC, ALB, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch and Terraform. It is beginner-friendly, and it is the course most students across Kerala join online.
The DevOps Engineer Career Program is that course as Phase 1, followed by six months of project-based training on campus: production Linux, a containerised stack, a CI/CD pipeline, an AWS migration, a Kubernetes deployment on EKS, and Terraform with Prometheus and Grafana. It ends with a six-project portfolio, mock interviews and referrals.
