DevOps training in Kochi.

Live online batches you attend from Kakkanad, Kaloor, or wherever your commute ends, with an optional campus block in Kannur if you go on to the Career Program.

How it works from Kochi

Upskilling without leaving your job.

Kochi is the one city in Kerala where the DevOps job market is deep enough that you can change roles without changing cities. That shapes how the course is best taken here.

Infopark at Kakkanad is the centre of gravity. The park has grown to roughly 72,000 professionals across some 580 companies, and its second phase is being built out on another 160 acres with the stated aim of pushing past 100,000. For a DevOps learner that density matters for a specific reason: it means the person hiring you, the recruiter screening you, and the team you eventually join are all within the same few square kilometres. Skills move quickly here because the market is thick enough to reward them.

The practical consequence is that almost nobody in Kochi should be quitting a job to learn DevOps. You are far better served staying inside the ecosystem, drawing a salary, and adding Docker, AWS, and CI/CD to what you already do. That is why Online Live is the default recommendation for Kochi. Sessions run to a fixed schedule outside working hours, the trainer is present in the room rather than pre-recorded, and you build in your own lab environment on your own machine. If a release goes badly and you miss a Thursday, the recording covers you.

When Hybrid makes sense from here

Hybrid is worth considering if you learn better with periodic face-to-face time, but be realistic about the geography before you commit to it. Kannur is 282 rail kilometres from Ernakulam and the journey runs close to six hours each way on services like the Ernakulam–Kannur Intercity Express. That is a comfortable planned trip and an unworkable weekly commute.

So we plan campus time in blocks rather than pretending it is a routine. Someone continuing into the ten-month Career Program will spend concentrated periods at Taliparamba for the mentored project phase, which is worth arranging leave around. For the standalone four-month course, most Kochi students never travel at all, and nothing in the syllabus or the certificate depends on their doing so.

What you should expect from us

We will not tell you that Techcake has a Kochi centre, because it does not. The institute is in Taliparamba, Kannur, and everything offered to Kochi students is delivered live over the internet or on that campus. What you get is the same syllabus, the same practitioner faculty, and the same career support as a classroom student, with batch timings chosen so an Infopark working day still fits around them.

Who this fits in Kochi

Built for three kinds of people.

01

Infopark employees adding cloud skills

You are already in a support, QA, or development seat inside the park and want the AWS and CI/CD experience that moves you onto a platform or DevOps team.

02

Ernakulam graduates entering a crowded market

Kochi produces a lot of job-ready-on-paper graduates. A portfolio with real Docker, Terraform, and pipeline work is what separates a shortlisted CV from an ignored one.

03

Service-company engineers going product-side

You have delivery experience but little infrastructure ownership, and you want the toolchain that product teams in the park actually interview on.

Frequently asked

Questions from Kochi.

Do I have to travel to Kannur for the four-month course?
No. The standalone DevOps Engineer course runs fully through Online Live, and Kochi students routinely complete it without visiting the campus. Campus time only enters the picture if you continue into the ten-month Career Program, whose project phase is run on-site.
Will the batch timings work around an Infopark shift?
That is what they are designed for. Online Live batches for working professionals are scheduled outside standard office hours, and every session is recorded so an occasional late release or on-call night does not cost you the material.
Does Techcake help with placement inside Kochi?
We provide career support rather than placement guarantees: a resume rewrite with a working engineer, a LinkedIn rebuild, mock interviews, and referrals through our network where roles open. Many of those roles are in and around Infopark, but the hiring decision is always the employer's.
Can I start Online Live and switch to Hybrid later?
Yes. Students move between modes as their circumstances change, and it is a common request from Kochi once someone decides to continue into the Career Program. Raise it on the counsellor call or with your trainer mid-course and we will arrange it.
