Techcake does not have a centre in Kochi. What we offer Kochi students is the online live batch of the 4 month DevOps Engineer course, a hybrid option with a few planned visits to our Kannur campus, and the 10 month Career Program whose six month project phase runs on campus in Taliparamba. Kochi is Kerala's largest IT job market, and the roles posted at Infopark are exactly what the syllabus is built around.
Online live is the mode almost every Kochi student picks for the course. Classes run on a fixed evening or weekend schedule, so you can keep a day job or college and still attend every session with the trainer in real time.
Hybrid is possible but needs planning. Ernakulam to Kannur is about 270 km, and direct trains take roughly 5 to 6 hours, so a campus visit is a weekend, not an evening. Hybrid students from Kochi typically come up for the Docker and Kubernetes lab weeks and the final review.
The Career Program is where the Kannur campus matters most. Phase 1, the training, can be done from your home in Kakkanad or Edappally. Phase 2, the six months of mentored production projects, is on campus only. Students from Kochi who take it either stay in Taliparamba for the six months or arrange to work remotely and travel weekly. The counsellor will walk you through both arrangements before you commit.
What does the campus add? Trainer time outside the class, a shared lab where you can stay late, and the mentors from our industry partner (an AWS consulting company) sitting across the table when your Terraform apply fails. For the course alone, online live gets you the same syllabus. For the projects, being present is the point.
Infopark Kochi is where most DevOps roles in Kerala are advertised. On the park's own job board in September 2026, Emsyne Technologies is hiring a DevOps Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in Jenkins, GitHub, Docker and Kubernetes deployment, with Bash scripting and Linux administration listed as core duties. UROLIME, a managed cloud services company in Phase 2, lists a Solution Architect for DevOps with Terraform, EKS, Prometheus and Grafana in the requirements, alongside a System Engineer role. iCodeBees at Infopark posts a DevOps Engineer role built on Jenkins, AWS and Kubernetes, with an evening shift for overseas clients.
Look at the skills those three postings share: Linux, Docker, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, monitoring. That list is the four modules of our course plus Projects 5 and 6 of the Career Program. Indeed also lists well over a hundred DevOps Engineer results filtered to Infopark Kochi at the time of writing, most of them from mid-sized service companies rather than large brands.
Two honest notes. Most of the Kochi listings ask for one to four years of experience, which is why the project portfolio matters for a fresher: it is the closest thing to experience you can show. And Kochi companies interview hard on Kubernetes, which is why five weeks of the Career Program are spent on EKS.
The DevOps Engineer course is four modules over about 16 weeks: Linux and Networking Foundations, Containers with Docker, CI/CD and Automation with Git, Jenkins and GitHub Actions, and AWS Cloud and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
The DevOps Engineer Career Program adds a second phase of six production projects on campus: Linux infrastructure, a containerised stack, a CI/CD pipeline, an AWS migration, Kubernetes on EKS, and Terraform with observability. Graduates leave with a portfolio, a rewritten resume and LinkedIn profile, recorded mock interviews and mentor referrals.
