DevOps training in Trivandrum.

Live online batches you attend from Thiruvananthapuram. Techcake is at the far end of the state, so this is an online-first programme and we say so up front.

How it works from Trivandrum

Online-first, and honest about why.

Trivandrum is 500 kilometres from our campus. Rather than dress that up, here is exactly how the course is built to work at that distance.

The rail journey from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur covers around 500 kilometres and takes most of a working day, roughly nine and a half hours on services such as the Kannur–Thiruvananthapuram Jan Shatabdi Express. No amount of scheduling ingenuity turns that into a weekly commute. So for Trivandrum we do not pretend Hybrid is the plan: Online Live is the programme, and campus attendance stays genuinely optional.

Fortunately this is the part of the curriculum least dependent on a shared room. Everything in the four months, provisioning Linux servers, building and shipping containers, wiring a CI/CD pipeline, standing up infrastructure on AWS, happens inside a terminal and a cloud console. A live session with a trainer who can look at your screen and read your error output is functionally the same experience in Kowdiar as it is in Taliparamba. What live delivery preserves, and recorded courses lose, is the ability to say “mine does not do that” and get an answer immediately.

Technopark is the reason this cohort exists

Thiruvananthapuram is home to Technopark, India’s first IT park, spread across roughly 766 acres in five phases and among the largest technology campuses in Asia by land area. It hosts on the order of 75,000 professionals across around 486 companies, and it takes in a large volume of freshers every year.

That last detail is the important one. A high fresher intake means a lot of comparable candidates arriving at the same doors with similar degrees, and it makes differentiation the whole game. The students we see succeed from Trivandrum are usually not chasing a certificate; they are chasing something concrete to discuss in a technical round. Being able to open a repository, walk an interviewer through a pipeline you built, and explain why you sized an EC2 instance the way you did is a different conversation from listing tools on a CV.

If you do want campus time

It exists, but it belongs to the ten-month Career Program rather than the four-month course. That programme’s second phase is a mentored project block run at Taliparamba, and students who travel for it treat it as a planned relocation for the duration, not a series of trips. For the standalone course, plan on never making the journey, and treat any visit as a bonus.

The curriculum

Four months. The same toolchain.

Whichever mode you pick, the syllabus is identical: Linux and networking foundations, containers with Docker, CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub Actions, then AWS and Terraform.

Who this fits in Trivandrum

Built for three kinds of people.

01

Technopark professionals moving into platform roles

You are inside the park already and want the cloud and automation depth that turns a development or support seat into an infrastructure one.

02

Freshers competing in a high-intake market

Technopark hires in volume, which means you are compared against many similar CVs. Demonstrable AWS and pipeline work is the differentiator.

03

Remote-first candidates anywhere in the south

You intend to work remotely and want a toolchain that companies hire for regardless of where you sit. Nothing in this course is tied to a location.

Frequently asked

Questions from Trivandrum.

Is it really practical to do this entirely from Trivandrum?
Yes, and it is the intended path for this city. The whole four-month course runs through scheduled live sessions, and the labs are cloud and terminal work that behaves identically wherever you sit. Campus attendance is not required at any point.
What would actually require me to travel?
Only the ten-month Career Program. Its second phase is a mentored project block run on the Taliparamba campus, and students from Trivandrum who take that route typically plan to stay for the duration rather than commute, given the roughly nine-and-a-half-hour journey each way.
How does live online compare with a classroom for the labs?
For this subject, closely. You provision your own servers and your own AWS resources either way, and the trainer works through your actual error messages in the session. The main thing a classroom adds is incidental conversation with your batch, which the alumni groups partly replace.
Do you help with jobs at Technopark?
We offer career support rather than placement guarantees: a resume rewrite with a working engineer, LinkedIn work, mock interviews, and referrals where our network has openings. We have no special channel into any particular Technopark employer, and would rather say so than imply otherwise.
