Techcake runs one Career Program, two standalone courses, three project-based training programmes, college tie-ups and AWS exam vouchers. Nothing else. Every offering below is live, taught by working engineers, and available from our Taliparamba, Kannur campus, with the courses also offered Online Live and Hybrid. Use the decision block further down if you are not sure which one fits you.

What we run

DevOps Engineer Career Program, 10 months

The flagship. Four months of training (the same syllabus as the DevOps Engineer course) followed by six months of mentored project-based training on six production projects: Linux infrastructure, a Docker application stack, a CI/CD pipeline, an AWS migration, Kubernetes on EKS and Terraform with observability. You finish with a six-project portfolio, a training completion certificate, a rewritten resume and LinkedIn profile, recorded mock interviews and referrals through the mentor network. DevOps Engineer course, 4 months

The training half of the Career Program on its own. Four modules over about 16 weeks: Linux and networking, containers with Docker, CI/CD with Git, Jenkins and GitHub Actions, then AWS and Terraform. Linux System Administration, 3 months

A three-month course that follows the RHCSA syllabus: command line, file system, users and permissions, storage and LVM, networking, SSH, systemd, security and shell scripting. It is not Red Hat exam preparation and Techcake does not coordinate exams. The right first step if you want to be sure of Linux before anything else. See Linux System Administration

Project-based training, DevOps, 6 months

For people who already have DevOps fundamentals and want mentored production work. Tracks cover production Linux and networking, containers and orchestration, CI/CD, AWS cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code and observability. On Techcake premises in Kannur. DevOps project-based training

Project-based training, Cybersecurity, 4 months

Four monthly sessions: Linux and cybersecurity foundations, web and API penetration testing, wireless, hardware and recon, then real-time projects and security reporting. Eligibility includes basic Linux, networking and web knowledge plus OWASP Top 10 awareness. Cybersecurity project-based training

Project-based training, Full Stack, 6 months

Python and Django from web foundations through Django REST Framework to a guided project and then your own mentor-guided project. Basic programming logic is the only prerequisite. Full Stack project-based training

Which one is right for me

Pick by where you are starting from, not by which programme sounds most impressive. A counsellor will confirm the fit on a free call.

Complete beginner, no Linux, no cloud. Start with the DevOps Engineer course if you want the full toolchain in four months, or the Career Program if you want the toolchain plus six months of projects and career support. If you would rather build a solid Linux base first, take Linux System Administration and move up afterwards.
You have Linux basics already. Go straight to the DevOps Engineer course. Module 1 will move quickly for you and Docker, CI/CD and AWS are where your time goes.
You have DevOps basics and want real work. The DevOps project-based training is built for you: six months of mentored production projects on campus. If you also want the structured training refreshed and the career support package, the Career Program covers both.
You want cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity project-based training is the only security programme we run. Check the eligibility list on that page first; if you are not there yet, Linux System Administration is the bridge.
You want web development. The Full Stack project-based training in Python and Django is the route. No JavaScript-framework track is offered.
You are in college. Ask your department about a college tie-up, or join a project-based training batch directly in your final year. Ask a counsellor which is quicker for your college.

Programmes we no longer run

Older names still show up in search results and in old brochures. If you are searching for one of these, here is what replaced it.

DevOps Foundation is now the DevOps Engineer course.
DevOps Professional is now the DevOps Engineer Career Program.
AWS DevOps Training is now Module 4 of the DevOps Engineer course.
AWS Cloud Engineer is also folded into the DevOps Engineer course.
RHCSA training and RHCE training are folded into Linux System Administration; an RHCE track is not currently offered.
If you are searching for the WordPress internship we once ran, it is no longer offered; the Full Stack project-based training replaced it.
The 3-day bootcamp is no longer run; its content is the first weeks of the DevOps Engineer course.

Which Techcake course is best for a fresher?

The DevOps Engineer course if you want to test the water in four months, or the Career Program if you are ready to commit to ten months and want mentored projects and career support included.

Can I do the DevOps Engineer course first and upgrade to the Career Program later?

Yes. The course is Phase 1 of the Career Program, so ask a counsellor about moving into Phase 2 after you finish.

Do you offer an internship in DevOps or cybersecurity?

We offer project-based training instead: mentored, on-campus work on production-grade projects for four to six months. It is designed to give you the portfolio an internship is supposed to give you.

Which programmes are available online?

The DevOps Engineer course and Phase 1 of the Career Program run Online Live and Hybrid. Linux System Administration modes are on its page. All project-based training is on campus in Kannur.

Do you run Kubernetes or Terraform as separate courses?

No. Terraform is in Module 4 of the DevOps Engineer course, and Kubernetes on EKS is Project 5 of the Career Program.

What are the course fees?

Fees and EMI options are shared on a free counsellor call for the programme and mode you choose.
